To describe the trees we are selling, we are using the broadest definition of bonsai, namely, “plant in a container. Each bonsai will be accompanied by a sheet of recommended care guidelines. Some have been years in training, some less than a year. All are growing in a bonsai soil mix designed specifically for this region.
We are offering about 30 trees for sale. Each tree has had an initial styling and root pruning and are sold in a container suitable to be considered bonsai. Bonsai styles sold here include wind blown, cascade, broom, upright formal, modern stylized and more. There are natives such as Indian plum, alder and red birch.
There are more horticultural types like boxwood, Japanese maple and ginkgo. All are outdoor bonsai, meaning they are to be grown as outdoor plants not indoor, although they may be brought in briefly for display and enjoyment. Many are just leafing out from their winter sleep so more foliage may be rightly expected by you.
